The organic practices used in the garden and the treatment of waste for the creation of organic compost contribute to the conservation and protection of the environment. The prestigious Selman & Asociados Designer Firm led the room remodeling, using only natural elements such as palm wood and coralline stone tastefully mixed with modern details. Through the Polibio Diaz Foundation, the hotel also supports projects for education, medical assistance and beach preservation. Due to its location in the lush south coast, Casa Bonita is the ideal place for nature lovers to interact with the biodiversity of the region. The Lodge’s proximity to the Jaragua Biosphere Reserve, Barohuco, Gran Sabana and Enriquillo ensures that visitors can experience the richest natural environments of the island. Here guest can hike the 7 km trail to Cueva de la Virgin where several waterfalls can be observed.

Casa Bonita is located in Barahona, the pristine southwest region of the Dominican Republic. All the attractions of this region, among them Bahía de Las Águilas, Laguna de Oviedo or Lago Enriquillo are easily reachable. The capital city of Santo Domingo and its international airport Las Américas can be reached within 4 hours.
