You will be picked up at the airport and driven by our private transfer to your hotel in the Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the streets of the colonial city, its restaurants, bars, and shops at your leisure. In the evening, we recommend a visit to the Plaza de España, where you can choose from several excellent restaurants and enjoy your dinner with a view of the house of Christopher Columbus's son.

The capital of the Dominican Republic blends modernity with a thriving economy and the city's historic center, the "Zona Colonial," making it a truly special place. During a private two-hour tour of the "Zona Colonial," you'll follow in the footsteps of Columbus and see, among other things, the oldest cathedral in the New World, ruins, and the residence of Columbus's son, Don Diego. You can also visit a cigar factory, if you wish, to see how the popular Dominican cigars are made.
Afterwards, we will inform you about your tour over a tropical welcome drink in our office in the Zona Colonial.
After lunch, you can explore the romantic streets of the Zona Colonial or the Malecón, the seafront promenade, on your own. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to discover other places outside of Santo Domingo's old town. One option would be a visit to the fascinating cave system "Los Tres Ojos" (Three Eyes).
The evening is yours to explore the vibrant nightlife of Santo Domingo.

Today you'll pick up your rental car and begin your road trip. Your first drive takes you across the country to the far north; your destination is the idyllic fishing village of Punta Rucia. The drive itself offers many highlights, such as the opportunity to have lunch at a beautiful panoramic restaurant, plan a lunch stop at a cocoa plantation, or visit one of the country's largest tobacco factories to learn about the process from harvesting to cigar rolling.

You will spend two relaxing days on the beautiful beach of Punta Rucia. One morning you will also take a fishing boat to a small, white sandbank measuring only 200 square meters.2The greatest natural spectacle, however, takes place underwater, where the coral reefs are a magnet for a multitude of colorful fish. Otherwise, enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and idyllic beaches of Punta Rucia.

After breakfast, you will continue your journey to Cabarete, the mecca for kitesurfing and windsurfing.
On the way there, you can visit the San Felipe Fortress in Puerto Plata. Christopher Columbus arrived in this area on his first voyage, which was documented on January 12, 1493. You will reach your hotel later in the afternoon.

These days are free for you to organize your stay in Cabarete according to your wishes. The possibilities are endless: whether you are looking forward to relaxing on the hotel beach, dancing the night away and mingling with the Dominicans, taking a cable car ride up Puerto Plata's local mountain or fancy more sporting activities such as kayaking, SUP, surfing, mountain biking, river tubing, canyoning, yoga or hiking in the surrounding nature: Cabarete offers something for everyone!

Today's itinerary includes a drive along the north coast to Cabrera. The diverse, lush landscape encompasses rivers, banana plantations, rice paddies, and a stunning coastline. Feel free to stop at pristine beaches for swimming and a typical Dominican lunch, or at crystal-clear lagoons for a refreshing dip. Afterward, we'll head to the hotel, which boasts fantastic views, where you can relax and enjoy the evening.

After breakfast in a stunning setting, you can explore more of this beautiful region. Besides countless idyllic beaches where you can mingle with the locals, there's also a lovely saltwater lagoon nearby, perfect for a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters.

Today your journey continues along the north coast, past small, authentic villages, to the beautiful Samaná Peninsula. Even the drive along the Boulevard del Atlantico offers spectacular views of the tropical coastline. Upon arrival in the charming beach town of Las Terrenas, you can end the day with a refreshing cocktail on the beautiful beach in front of your accommodation.

In this idyllic location with its diverse beaches, each possessing its own unique charm, you will spend your final days of vacation. Relax and soak up the Caribbean atmosphere of this beautiful island, which is showcased at its finest here in Las Terrenas. For adventurers who wish to explore further, the Samaná Peninsula offers more than enough options, which we would be happy to present to you.

Return to Santo Domingo via a well-maintained highway. En route, you can stop at the hidden Salto Socoa waterfall and mingle with the locals. Depending on your onward travel plans, you can return your rental car at the airport or, if you've extended your stay, upon request.
