You will be picked up at the airport and driven by our private transfer to your hotel in the Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the streets of the colonial city, its restaurants, bars, and shops at your leisure. In the evening, we recommend a visit to the Plaza de España, where you can choose from several excellent restaurants and enjoy your dinner with a view of the house of Christopher Columbus's son.

The capital of the Dominican Republic blends modernity with a thriving economy and the city's historic center, the "Zona Colonial," making it a truly special place. During a private two-hour tour of the "Zona Colonial," you'll follow in the footsteps of Columbus and see, among other things, the oldest cathedral in the New World, ruins, and the residence of Columbus's son, Don Diego. You can also visit a cigar factory, if you wish, to see how the popular Dominican cigars are made.
Afterwards, we will inform you about your tour over a tropical welcome drink in our office in the Zona Colonial.
After lunch, you can explore the romantic streets of the Zona Colonial or the Malecón, the seafront promenade, on your own. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to discover other places outside of Santo Domingo's old town. One option would be a visit to the fascinating cave system "Los Tres Ojos" (Three Eyes).
The evening is yours to explore the vibrant nightlife of Santo Domingo.

After breakfast, your driver will take you across the island to the Samaná Peninsula via a well-maintained highway. Once there, you'll travel along the southern coast, passing authentic villages, to the small, idyllic fishing village of Las Galeras, your home for the next few days.

You'll spend these days in the charming fishing village of Las Galeras, where you can easily reach several stunning Caribbean beaches, restaurants, and shops on foot. By boat, you can visit the secluded beaches of Playa Rincón and Playa Frontón, a hidden Robinson Crusoe-like beach (not included). For sports enthusiasts, there are options such as mountain biking tours through the hills of the Samaná Peninsula and kayaking or trekking routes to secluded coves and remote beaches. We'd be happy to advise you on the many possibilities that Las Galeras has to offer.

Today you'll move to a very special accommodation located on a hill in La Guázuma. The high-quality Casa El Paraíso Eco-Lodge awaits you with absolutely breathtaking ocean views, a refreshing infinity pool, and rooms without a front wall, yet offering plenty of privacy that allows you to completely immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. From January to March, you can observe humpback whales directly from your room, as they frequent Samaná Bay during this period.

Today you can enjoy the seclusion and tranquility of your high-quality eco-lodge or take a trip to the remote El Valle ("the valley"). The secluded beach is surrounded by high, densely vegetated hills and offers a breathtaking backdrop. It's easy to understand why the Taíno, the island's original inhabitants, settled here 500-3000 years ago, giving El Valle a very special magic.

Today, your transfer will take you across the Samaná Peninsula to the charming beach town of Las Terrenas. Beforehand, you'll stop in Santa Bárbara de Samaná for a boat trip to Los Haitises National Park, where you'll discover its rock formations, countless bird species, and caves once inhabited by the Taíno indigenous people. Afterwards, you'll head to Cayo Levantado, also known as "Bacardi Island," where you can enjoy free time on the beach and a delicious Dominican lunch before returning to Samaná in the afternoon and continuing on to Las Terrenas.
From mid-January to mid-March, the Los Haitises tour can be replaced or supplemented by a whale watching tour with marine biologist Kim Beddall upon request.
Both tours can also be organized as private boat trips.

In this charming spot, with its countless beach bars and restaurants scattered along various beaches, you'll spend your last days of vacation. Relax and soak up the Caribbean atmosphere of this beautiful island, which is showcased at its finest here in Las Terrenas. For adventurers who want to explore more of the area, the tropical and hilly surroundings offer more than enough options, which we'd be happy to tell you about.
