You will be picked up at the airport and driven by our private transfer to your hotel in the Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the streets of the colonial city, its restaurants, bars, and shops at your leisure. In the evening, we recommend a visit to the Plaza de España, where you can choose from several excellent restaurants and enjoy your dinner with a view of the house of Christopher Columbus's son.

The capital of the Dominican Republic blends modernity with a thriving economy and the city's historic center, the "Zona Colonial," making it a truly special place. During a private two-hour tour of the "Zona Colonial," you'll follow in the footsteps of Columbus and see, among other things, the oldest cathedral in the New World, ruins, and the residence of Columbus's son, Don Diego. You can also visit a cigar factory, if you wish, to see how the popular Dominican cigars are made.
Afterwards, we will inform you about your tour over a tropical welcome drink in our office in the Zona Colonial.
After lunch, you can explore the romantic streets of the Zona Colonial or the Malecón, the seafront promenade, on your own. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to discover other places outside of Santo Domingo's old town. One option would be a visit to the fascinating cave system "Los Tres Ojos" (Three Eyes).
The evening is yours to explore the vibrant nightlife of Santo Domingo.

After picking up your rental car, you'll travel across the island on a well-maintained highway to the Samaná Peninsula. Along the way, you can stop at the hidden Salto Socoa waterfall and mingle with the locals. Once on the peninsula, you'll drive past authentic villages along the southern coast to the small, idyllic fishing village of Las Galeras, your home for the next few days.

During these days, you'll explore the fascinating surroundings of Las Galeras on your own. This includes Playa Rincón, a beautiful Caribbean beach, and Playa Frontón, a hidden Robinson Crusoe-like beach accessible only by boat. Or you can visit the village beach, Playita, where you can order a delicious Dominican lunch. For sports enthusiasts, a hike along the most beautiful beaches is also a great option, and we'd be happy to show you the best routes.

On day 8, you'll change accommodations in Las Galeras. The Casa Paraiso Eco-Lodge awaits you with absolutely breathtaking sea views, a refreshing infinity pool, and rooms without a front wall, yet offering plenty of privacy that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. From January to March, you can observe humpback whales directly from your room, as they frequent Samaná Bay during this period.

Today you can enjoy the seclusion and tranquility of your high-quality eco-lodge or take a trip to the remote El Valle ("the valley"). The secluded beach is surrounded by high, densely vegetated hills and offers a breathtaking backdrop. It's easy to understand why the Taíno, the island's indigenous people, settled here 500-3000 years ago, giving El Valle a very special magic.

Today the journey continues, crossing the Samaná Peninsula to the charming beach town of Las Terrenas. Beforehand, however, you'll stop in Santa Barbara de Samaná for a boat trip to Los Haitises National Park, with its rock formations, countless bird species, and caves once inhabited by the Taíno indigenous people. Afterwards, you'll head to Cayo Levantado, also known as "Bacardi Island," where you can enjoy free time on the beach and a delicious Dominican lunch before returning to Samaná in the afternoon and continuing on to Las Terrenas.

In this idyllic location, with its countless beach bars and restaurants scattered along various beaches, you will spend your final days of vacation. Relax and soak up the Caribbean atmosphere of this beautiful island, which is showcased at its finest here in Las Terrenas. For adventurers who want to explore more of the surrounding area, there are plenty of options, which we would be happy to show you.
