The island is perfect for swimming or simply enjoying a refreshing drink on its idyllic white sand beach with turquoise waters. If you'd like to stay overnight on Cayo Levantado, the Luxury Bahía Principe Cayo Levantado, the island's only hotel, is at your disposal. Pamper yourself and enjoy the all-inclusive program.

3. Bahía de las Águilas
In the southwest of the Dominican Republic lies the breathtaking Eagle Bay (Bahía de las Águilas), one of the island's best-kept secrets. This beach boasts arguably the most beautiful turquoise waters you'll find in the entire Caribbean and is completely secluded within Jaragua National Park. The bay can be reached by speedboat or 4x4 vehicle and offers stunning views of the over 4-kilometer-long beach. Due to its remoteness, you'll most likely have the beach to yourself.
Why we love the beach of Bahía de las Águilas: You have to see this beach with your own eyes to understand what a natural wonder awaits you here.
Arrival: You will need a rental car or a private transfer to get to Bahía de las Águilas. The bay is about 2.5 hours from Barahona and 6 hours from Santo Domingo. From the restaurant “La Cueva” in Cabo Rojo, you can reach Bahía de las Águilas by speedboat, which takes about 10-15 minutes.
