As is so often the case in the Caribbean, the sun shone from a clear blue sky when the wedding guests from the USA arrived at Santo Domingo airport on Friday. DOMINICAN EXPERT organized a private transfer with an English-speaking driver who met and welcomed the group. After all the guests had cleared immigration, the journey to the wedding venue in Las Terrenas on the Samaná Peninsula began. To make the drive through the breathtaking scenery even more enjoyable, we arranged refreshing drinks and various snacks, provided by our Gourmet Catering They were prepared. Mini churros, personalized bags of popcorn and pretzels, bottles of water, Presidente (the national beer of the Dominican Republic), and rosé wine were offered.
After a two-hour drive, we arrived at "Villa del Mar," a luxury villa right on the beach in Las Terrenas, where the wedding would take place the next day. This is one of our favourite placesto organize beach weddings in the Dominican Republic, as all the luxury villas offer a tropical garden, a pristine beach, and plenty of space and privacy. The guests enjoyed the tropical breeze and the beautiful surroundings, ending their first evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
Saturday was finally the big day! The sun was shining, perfect for a Caribbean beach wedding. In the early afternoon, it was time for the bride to get ready. DOMINICAN EXPERT arranged for a professional hair and makeup stylist to come directly to the villa and prepare the bride for her special moment with impeccable artistry.
The ceremony took place on the terrace of Villa del Mar, which offers a perfect view of the pool in the tropical garden and the sea. The professional wedding planners from DOMINICAN EXPERT decorated the ceremony area with flowers and white fabrics, creating a light and elegant atmosphere. The altar was covered with rose petals, and the bride and groom each received a matching bouquet or boutonniere.
While the guests congratulated the bride and groom individually after the ceremony, they were able to enjoy a beautifully prepared wedding reception with delicious snacks from our catering service: mini empanadas filled with chicken, beef and cheese, mini quiche with mushrooms, vegetarian spring rolls, and chicken and beef skewers.

Later that evening, it was time for the culinary highlight of the day: an exclusive three-course menu prepared by DOMINICAN EXPERT's head chef. The appetizer consisted of an amuse-bouche and marinated goat cheese with pineapple chutney and peanut crackers, served on a bed of arugula salad. The main course featured wild-caught shrimp in a soy cream sauce, accompanied by corn cakes and Asian vegetables. To top it all off, guests were treated to a dessert of three different chocolate mousses with raspberry sauce. All the guests were delighted with our excellent catering and the beautifully arranged tables, decorated with floating candles and flower-filled glass bowls.
The guests danced and celebrated this beautiful, perfect wedding in the Dominican Republic until late into the evening. In between dances, they enjoyed the dessert buffet featuring passion fruit cheesecake, brownies, and raspberry macarons. One last surprise awaited the bride and groom: the wedding planners from DOMINICAN EXPERT had romantically decorated the master bedroom of Villa del Mar with roses and candles – a perfect end to an unforgettable day.
On Sunday, our caterer treated the wedding party to a sumptuous barbecue. It was beautifully decorated, and the guests enjoyed it in the garden of Villa del Mar. They spent the day relaxing by the villa's private pool in the Caribbean sun and exploring the breathtaking tropical surroundings.
On Monday morning, all guests were picked up at Villa del Mar and taken back to the airport in Santo Domingo, from where they flew home with many wonderful memories of this perfect beach wedding.
